Hello, crusaider of knowledge! Today I'd like to approximate the heights of Gumball characters and maybe estimate their weights as well. Why am I doing this? Well because it has been on my mind for so long.Heck, estimating their heights was my first contribution! You may have remembered that someone made a post dicussing this topic before, but all their method was to measure characters compared to Richard's hieght including or excluding his ears. But I would like to measure them in more than one method! I would also compare the Watterson's sizes to humans rather than the animals they represent because their body shape and behavior is closer to a human then say, a cat, bunny, or a goldfish/suckerfish.I will measure the characters using multiple methods, then average them together, than try to estimate a weight for them (can't wait to estimate Richard's weight). You might be surprised by how much they'd weigh just because of their heads. One thing you might realize if you try measure heights during different seasons or episodes is that some of the characters end up too tall or too short compared to what I state. That is because that scaling of characters is slightly inconsistent, which is why results may vary. Now it's time to begin method 1.

Method 1: Richard[]
Now you just heard talking about Richard before. And you are probably wondering, what is so special about Richard? Well, it's that he has a canon height! According to The Amazing world of Gumball youtube channel and CN themselves, Richard is 6'4" tall. Now where does it say this? Right here .
Now that we know Richard's canon height is 6'4", now all we need to do is compare their heights to each other! But we need a screenshot where all of them are standing upright. But fear not, as this wiki exists... well I found one shot from "The Ad" where Gumball, Darwin, Anais, Nicole, and Richard are all standing upright. To be exact, it's this shot.
Which means I can get to work. Now after doing some measurements, I can conclude that Gumball is 3'10.5", Darwin is 3'1.5", Anais is 2'9.2", and Nicole is 5'5". This indicates that Gumball and Darwin are really small compared to the heights of human kids their age, Anais is pretty small compared to a 4-year-old girl but is not as small comparatively to Gumball and Darwin, Nicole is the only person that's actually normal size, being just an inch above average, whil Richard is quite a big dude. But of course, one method isn't enough to justify their heights. We can compare them to constant-sized-objects as I call them.
Method 2: Constant-Sized-Object[]
There are numerous items through Elmore that have "canon" sizes in reality. Such as say lockers, multiple cars, or shipping containers. The most common lockers seen in Elmore Junior High are the 3-column lockers in Elmore Junior High that resemble the standard triple tier lockerswhere each locker is 2 feet tall. Now using the same method of measuring for Gumball from "The Cringe" I can conclude that using this method, Gumball is 3'2.9" tall, which is a significant difference between the 3'10.5" I got for Gumball earlier and technically he'd be shorter because of perspective angles, so I'd round it down to around 3' or so. So which numbers to we trust? Neither! We just average them together. Though there is one more method I'd like to tackle.
Method 3: The Chimera[]
This is the first method I used to estimate Gumball's height. His height was mentioned on the news when Nicole and Richard were watching it, stating "he is over 7 feet tall" before, so I made an assumption that his height was 7.5 feet, which would be most accurate when Gumball, Darwin, and Anais are outside with Chimera. I basically just took this sceneand compared sizes to find that using this measurement, Gumball is 3', Darwin is 2' 7 1/2", and Anais is 2' 1/2", though like I said before, this uses a assumption (though a pretty accurate one) and it uses a character who's scale ranges from being almost tall enough to reach the ceiling to being nearly the size of the Watterson's house. But it seems that the most accurate time of Chimera's scaling is when he is in the backyard of Gumball's home. But with 3 trials most people average them together, so that's what I'll do. So looking at the 3 heights of Gumball we get 3', 3'10.5", and 3' again because of perspective. averaging them together, we get that Gumball is 3'3.5" which to be honest, sounds about accurate to me.
List of Heights of Other Characters according to my Measurements[]
To be honest I'm only doing this part because SteelMushroom requested this. Now I will take some photos of some characters grouped together and see thier heights all together. This list will involve a few things that Steelmushroom asked for, like William's wingspan and that's all I can remember off my head. Here go a few photos of characters next to each other and now to make the list.
William: 7.17 inches (18.2cm) (diameter of eye), 26.5 inches (67.3 cm) (wingspan) Funfact: William's eye would weigh 6.8 lbs (3.1kg) if it's density was that of a human eye.

Estimating the Weights of Gumball's Siblings and Parents[]
Ah, the hardest part of this blog. Estimating the weight of 2D characters. How can I even estimate thier weights? Well, thank goodness that the Wattersons are just made out of polygons placed together. You might wonder how will I ever calculate thier weights? Well I will approximate thier body as polygons, add or subtract volume if the polygon displaces too much or too little.Lets start with Gumball, shall we? So miguring out the weight of his arms is pretty easy, just find the average density of a arm (I'll use this study as reference) , and then multiply it according to Gumball's arm size. And since Gumball's arm is almost a cylinder this makes it so much easier. I calculated the volume of Gumball's arm to be 542 cm^3 and figured his entire arm to weigh 703g, and both his arms should weigh twice that at 1.406 kg, his legs and feet at 601g because his legs are actually smaller than his feet, his torso and hips at 2.996kg (desnity is slightly less because of lungs) and his head is approximately... 65kg? Maybe I did something wrong, maybe Gumball really does have a ginormous head. Even after I septuple checked and get the same result again and again. Well that means that Gumball really does have the right to say he has a large head. And I can't forget his tail as well, which would weigh 132g. I alredy took his ears into account as well. Which means his total body weight would be 67.1 kg (148 lb)which to me seems like a huge overestimate, but this is what I get for estimating a 2D characters weight. And now for Darwin's weight and thank goodness he doesn't have a torso. So the arns are 1.134 kg, Darwin's legs are 2.973 kg, and his head and tail are 42.785 kg, giving a total bodyweight of 46.9 kg (103.4 lb). Anais' legs are 319g, her arms are 360g, her torso is 1.136 kg (remember about the lungs), her head is 60.7 kg, and if I assume that her ears are made of mostly muscle for thier flexibility, then they'd weigh about 16.7 kg, and adding all of it up would make Anais weigh 79.2 kg (174.64 lb). The only reason why Anais is actually heavier than Gumball and Darwin is becuase of her ears. And now for the parents of the family, Nicole and Richard (can't wait!) So first off is Nicole's turn. Her arms are aprroximately 1.068 kg, her legs are 2.109 kg, her torso is 4.673 kg, her tail is 37g (using the same assumption for Gumball, not Anais' ears,) and her head at 110.74 kg (even more excited for Richard). That means that her total bodyweight comes out to be 116.5 kg (257 lbs). And now for the big daddy (literally). And this one is going to be pretty fun to do out of all of them. So let's start with his arms then. So I found out that just his arms would weigh78.9 kg! My gosh! That's just his arms and they are already heavier than me! And his legs are 36 kg together which makes sense because his arms are actually longer than his legs but just as thick. The largest part of his bodyweight is going to be his torso certainly. And the weight of his torso is get this (the number will include his head and ears because they are pretty much part of his torso), 1,295kg! The reason why he is so much heavier than most humans his height is because his body is much thicker than pretty much everyone. That means that Richard weighs about 1,410 kg (3,108 lbs). The fact that he can just stand up already makes his legs stronger than Brian Shaw! And since Richard is capable of running at 200 mph (about 90 m/s,) that meanss that he is exerting at least 120,000 lbs(54,431 kgf)of force per step! We all thought Nicole was the strong Watterson but it turns out Richard is likely just as strong, but is usually too lazy to use his strength. Well, this took about 16 hours of my life off and it's mostly during Christmas as well. Anyways, I had fun overanalyzing my favorite show, and I hope you enjoyed reading this as well. And I can't forget, merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
