"A spectre is roaming through green, blue and red borderlands: the Frostfire Reaper."

Abstract

Following the consequences and the ever changing scenario in the competitive metagame, both are materialized in sPvP and WvW, the Terrormancer in which this build was centered before, was overshadowed by a lot of HoT builds. The current metagame legitimizes the Frostfire Reaper as the most viable spec of the condition or hybrid necromancers build. This is wholeheartedly reliant on your condition damage and power for the maximum burst that is needed.

Build

Most players of this game bind themselves to the metanarratives that are told over and over again which thus continued to bury the petite histoire of certain individuals. The build was centered around the build that metabattle website says http://metabattle.co...rrion_Frostfire

Metanarratives show that the build that metabattle is superior but if you account my build in a certain context, this might work better than what metabattle have proposed. My preferred traits of this build centers around my old guide: https://www.ehmrybay...-june-23-patch/

A. Curses

The Curses trait line bring the best out of condition necromancers in terms of removing conditions or giving back conditions. With every 3 conditions that you have, Plague Signet will activate as long as you will do a critical on an enemy.

Getting the Terror trait lets your Fear condition give damage. Fears are best used when there are different kind of conditions on the one you are killing.

Lingering Curse will grant you 150 condition damage along with 50% condition duration on your scepter skills. I prefer this over Parasitic Contagion because you do not need sustain when the enemy is dead. Always remember that a good enemy is a pacified one.

B. Soul Reaping

The Greater Marks trait causes you to generate life force from your marks and make it unblockable.

Vital Persistence works well with the Frostfire Reaper given that you need that slow degeneration to compensate for the abysmal speed of some of the Reaper Shroud skills.

Dhuumfire excels in giving the necessary condition burst output that you need in some scenarios. I play it differently because I tend to mix my Reaper Shroud auto-attacks in the middle of my rotations. But still, one full chain of the RS auto attack gives you an edge of the opponent given that you have the necessary condition damage and power to inflict almost 2k+ burning.

C. Reaper

Relentless Pursuit reduces movement impairing conditions. It is a must that you get this trait given best scenario for the Reaper to land its shroud combos is the closer you'll get to your opponent.

Chilling Victory is used for might stacking when an opponent is chilled. Another best scenario for the Reaper is to have always a chill condition on your opponent.

Deathly Chill lets your chill condition deal damage. The higher your condition damage is, the better the damage.

Combo
abbreviations: RS - Reaper Shroud

My preferred combo: Signet of Spite, Scepter 3, Scepter 2, Scepter 5, (Reaper Shroud), RS 3, RS2, RS5, RS 4 (after the Soul Spiral animation sequence press 3 again), switch to staff, Staff 2, Staff 3, Staff 4 (blast poison field) and Staff 5. Switch to Scepter or if RS is on cooldown whichever the situation is.

Frost Aura: RS3, RS5, RS 4, RS 2 or RS 3, RS 2, RS 5, RS 4, RS3, RS 2

Might Stacking: Staff 3, (RS), RS 3, RS 2, RS 5, RS 4,press RS 3 after the Soul Spiral animation

Do you have an alt on any server we might match against, or on a server we might be fighting in EotM? I dueled a Mag reaper that (I suspect) was using a similar build and, except for one victory, I got pretty torn up.

I'd like to duel you a few times if you're up for it. Mostly to see if there's anything I can do to counter or at least get close to equaling the build.

I normally have moderate success against reapers, but it usually depends on how tanky they are or how well they can kite. Lately though, it seems like the number of lethal reapers has increased. I shudder to think what they'll be like after Tuesday....

Woes guild hall would be a good spot. The biggest buff is that the boon strips are going to be plentiful and the RS animations will be faster.

I don't know with Warriors/Berserkers but I read that they are going to have a huge buff on the aspect of survival

And that's it for the sustain, as far as I know. The teaser text looked much more promising, though I'm hopeful they have some good stuff that hasn't been revealed yet.

compiled my duels with veri and spiral (friend from dh)

fighting game lingo - the one with the higher rating, the one will most likely to win

vs thief matchup: 4-6 (w/o spec wall), 6-4 (with spectral wall), 2-8 (vs sb/staff)
vs ele matchup: 2-8 (with diamond skin), 4-6 (w/o ds), 8-2 (fresh air)
vs chrono: 6-4
vs druid: 5-5

Asked her what she was running. It was all berserker and marksmanship. I'll get her to run an all bunkerish or maybe one of the best druids from Woes to do a first to 4/Bo7

The correct Druid build is ultra-high sustain with a fair bit of boon stacking.A Druid not running something broadly similar to THIS (my exact gear currently) is not an accurate representation of the Druid matchup.The third utility--Glyph of the Tides--is flexible in WvW; you definitely always take the Glyph in sPvP, but without nodes, you can take a Signet or even the new Shout.
