Guide - Berserker Progression Guide [Guide] (2024)

Only doing OUTSIDE Dungeons because Dungeons are bad
(Keep in mind weapons from Dungeons will be used, assuming you have completion of the respective floor, and respective slayer weapons will not be included for the most part, as they only excel at one part of the game.)
Armour
Early Game Armour

1. Glacite Armour:
At the very start of the game you have little money and little options available to you. The first armour set you should get is glacite armour, due to it's high defense stat and epic rarity, meaning reforges like fierce and pure will provide ample crit chance and damage for an early game player. If you're interested in mining, it's also the best early game mining set due to its full set ability, gemstone slots and base mining speed.
Full Set Cost: ~170k
2. Strong Dragon Armour:
If you have a higher combat skill and a thicker wallet, I would suggest Strong Dragon Armour. This is the first set you'll be using that can be dungeonised, meaning if you wish to go into dungeons you're able to do floors up to around F3. It has upgraded in rarity to Legendary, meaning reforges will be stronger than the glacite, and has more base stats, like strength. The strength stat on each piece is 25, meaning with the full set you'll have an extra 100 strength, and combined with the full set ability and an Asepect of the End, this will be an avid improvement in damage from the previous Glacite set.
Full Set Cost: ~1.9m

Mid Game Armour

3. Superior Dragon Armour/Shadow Assassin Armour
These two are the next on the list, put together due to their similarity in damage. The superior dragon armour has stayed prevelant in the early game for multiple years now, and has very few downsides. It's full set ability, Superior Blood increases most stats by 5%, meaning if you have good base stats this will be exemplified greatly. There are two downsides to Superior, those being the price, (~23m) and the fact that you're full set locked, as without the full set ability, it falls short of Shadow Assassin by a great deal. The other set here is Shadow Assassin. The full set costs around the same as Superior, but with replacing the chestplate with something like a Zombie Knight chestplate you get a great deal of defense for very cheap, as it's a common dungeon drop. This will result in a minor damage decrease. The set can also be upgraded with livid fragments, valued at around 80k per fragment and needing 8 to upgrade each piece. If you have the catacombs requirement and floor 5 completion to use Shadow Assassin, I highly recommend it for players moving into the midgame.
Superior Set Cost: ~23m
SA Full Set Cost: ~21m
SA with ZK Chestplate: ~6m

3. 3/4 Necron's Armour w/ Tarantula Helmet
Now we start getting some real damage. Necron's Armour is the best berserker set for dungeons, giving the most melee damage out of all the other wither sets, and is also exemplary outside of dungeons. With its incredible base stats of 120 strength, and 90 critical damage without any reforges or recombobulators, the damage of this set is pushing the hundreds of thousands. It also has a high base health and defense stat, giving around 600 health and 300 defense for just 3/4 of it. The only thing that makes this armour set so unobtainable is the price. For a decently maxed out 3/4 set you'll need around 200m for it, being quite a fair amount of money for most people. Now for the tarantula helmet. It's taken the cake for the best budget helmet in the game for damage and effective health for years, the only thing surpassing it being the Warden's Helmet.
3/4 Necron's Set Cost: ~48m Base
Tarantula Helmet Cost: ~800k

Late Game Armour

4. Warden Helmet
Here it is. The Holy Grail of Berserker outside of dungeons. From being one of the tankiest pieces of armour with 300 Base health and 100 Base defense, to Doubling, even nearly Tripling damage in some cases, the Warden Helmet is the singlular best armour piece for damage in the entire game. The only issue is it's requirement of Zombie Slayer Level 8, and one of the rarest drops in the game, resulting in the Hefty price tag, but if you can get your hands on this, you're one happy Berserker.
Base Price: ~170m

Endgame Armour

5. 3/4 Crimson Armour
Introduced in the Nether Update along with 4 other armour sets, Crimson is geared towards Berserker with its high critical damage and strength stats in its base form. However, through the use of hundreds of thousands of Crimson Essence, hundreds of Kuudra Teeth, obtained only from completing the Kuudra Bossfight, a staggering amount of coins and too many Heavy Pearls to count, this can be upgraded to be far better than Necron's Armour in every way possible, (Outside of Dungeons, of course.) Not to mention the randomized attributes this set comes with, that while unobtainable for a high majority of the player base, can be upgraded to obscene standards, making it the best set for Magic Find, and giving up to 40 Combat Wisdom with the best attributes. Most players could never even dream of owning maxed Crimson Armour, and even less will ever come close to aquiring it.
Base Price: ~3m
15 Star Infernal Price: ~30B
Max Attribute Price: ~ 15B
Maxed Set Price: ~48B

Weapons
Early Game Weapons

1. AOTE (Aspect of the End)
The AOTE is an early game weapon with good damage and a vital ability meaning it will stick with you for your entire playthrough of the game. This being, the instant transmission ability, teleporting you 8 blocks ahead when used. Paired with ultimate wise, for only 25 mana you'll be able to quickly and easily be able to traverse any parts of the map without a sweat. As an early game weapon goes, it's got everything. 100 base damage, 100 strength, and 50 critical damage. It's also a rare weapon, meaning reforges will be fairly strong with it.
Price: ~200k
2. AOTD (Aspect of the Dragons)
A reasonable upgrade to the previous weapon, having an extra 145 base damage and an extra 20 strength. This weapon will last you a while, even up to early mid game. The AOTD doesn't have any real downsides, as it's got good damage, good obtainability and price. It is the perfect all-rounder for a beginner.
Price: ~900k

Mid Game Weapons

3. Livid Dagger
The trusty Livid Dagger has been a go-to weapon since Dungeons was released, being obtained from Floor 5 of the Catacombs and haivng a base Legendary rarity. It does slightly more damage than an aspect of the dragons, but when you hit enemies from the back it does double damage, completely sweeping the AOTD in overall damage. Let alone, the extra 50% bonus attack speed stat it gives, meaning that in actually you're doing 50% more damage against targets you can't kill in a single hit.
Price: ~7.5m
4. Juju Shortbow
Everybody and their dog has heard the term 'Juju Non' but disregarding that this bow is unironically one of the best value weapons in the game. If you can get to Enderman Slayer Level 5, This bow is handy both in and outside Dungeons to a tremendous standard. It has obscenely large base damage, and when paired with high attack speed becomes one of the few best weapons in the game, next to the terminator. The best thing about this is its low price. While this is a Berserker guide, this list isn't restricted to strictly melee. Both the Juju Shortbow and the Terminator are key weapons in a high level Berserkers' success.
Price: ~10m
5. Flower of Truth (FOT)
Obtained from crafting 9 ancient roses obtained by either killing Golems in f6 or from a reward chest, the FOT is highly useful in dungeons and outside. It has high damage and extremely high strength, calibrating well with the Silky power stone, granting ample amounts of critical damage. Its ability, 'Heat Seeking Rose' is used to easily kill mobs outside of dungeons such as spawning slayer bosses, and is very good for clearing rooms in the Catacombs due to it rebouding between 3 mobs very rapidly. It is very good for its low price and is the prime choice for mid game players, as well as Livid Dagger.
Price: ~700k

Late Game Weapons

6. Giant's Sword
Obtained from Floor 6 of the Catacombs, the Giant's Sword is one of the most envied drops in the game, wanted by every player that wants to make their way into the late and endgame. It has the 2nd highest 1 hit damage in the game, next to the Dark Claymore it is extremely powerful when paired with the One for All enchantment, increasing damage by 5x. If you want to go for a more versatile approach, Soul Eater and powerful tier 6 enchantments are the way to go, as this will allow for healing, and more usability rather than 1 hit damage. This however will cost you more than One for All.
Price: ~184m
OFA Price: ~6m

7. Terminator
The Coveted Terminator. The single best bow in the game by a long shot. Firing 3 arrows at once through the heart of your enemies, destroying them in a matter of seconds. With a base damage of 330 and strength of 70, as well as the 40 bonus attack speed, this item is absolutely necessary for Master Mode dungeons, and high tier Kuudra. When paired with ridiculously expensive enchantments such as Duplex or Fatal Tempo, it shreds through even the hardest bosses effortlessly. Only problem is it's obtained from a monopoly of rare items, such as a drop from the 2nd hardest slayer boss in the game called the Judgement Core, dropped from one in over 1700 bosses, making it extremely valuable.
Terminator Price: ~680m
Duplex V Price: ~ 300m
Fatal Tempo V Price: ~3.2B

8. Axe of the Shredded (AOTS)

Unlocked at Zombie Slayer Level 8, the AOTS excels in killing zombies, resulting in millions of damage per hit. Aside from this, it is purely used in high level dungeon floors while sword swapping to either a Valkyrie or a Giant's Sword. This results in more damage than even terminator players, however it requires good tecnique and skill to be effective, something many skyblock players lack.
Price: ~64m
End Game Weapons

9. Dark Claymore
Having a 0.07% chance to drop from the hardest Dungeons floor available, Master Mode Floor 7, and costing 50 million coins to even open the drop, the Dark Claymore is the most desired weapon to a Berserker. It has the highest damage for a melee weapon in the game which is why many people have decided to fully hypermax this weapon. This is far from necessary for almost any aspect of the game, but the bigger number, the better the person, right? It has a surprisingly cheap price due to how rare and useful it is, making it more affordable than a terminator.
Price: ~315m

Support Items

Support items are crucial throughout Skyblock, for healing, for convenience, so on and so on. For a Berserker, there are a few things you should have at your disposal if you need them. This starts with a Florid Zombie Sword for healing, a Wand of Atonement for more healing, an Overflux or Plasmaflux Power Orb for healing, damage and mana regeneration, and an Aspect of the End or Aspect of the Void to get around swiftly. A high Magic Power is one of the most universally helpful things for stats in Skyblock. It can grant thousands of useful stats such as Mana, Critical Damage and Strength. Your Magical Power should slowly increase as you progress throughout the game, and a commonly known good number of magical power is somewhere from around 500 for a mid game player, around 700-900 for a late game player and 1k+ for an endgame player.
