My daughter just completed her freshman year, and her experience was everything we hoped for and more!
Many professors are world-renowned in their field. The students my child is surrounded by are all outstanding, and that alone is a very important factor, as I believe students will tend toward the norm, which at UCLA is a high level of achievement. Surrounding oneself with world-class students will push you to greater achievement as well. Socially, UCLA has such a diverse student body that students have no problem finding "their people." Students at UCLA are academically driven, so the party scene is limited to weekends and not the 24/7 party atmosphere at USC ( a pay-to-play party school), but kids do Uber there for parties.
UCLA's campus is serene and conducive to studying, and students feel a strong, well-earned sense of pride and camaraderie. Alumni connections are strong not just because of mutual affiliation but also because they know those degrees are hard-earned!

As a second-year transfer student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), my experience has been truly remarkable. The campus is stunning, with beautiful architecture and an inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights for me has been the diversity of the student body. I’ve met people from all over the world, which has broadened my perspectives and enriched my academic and social life.
The academic programs are top-notch, with knowledgeable professors who are leaders in their fields. The resources available, from libraries to research facilities, are extensive and well-maintained. I particularly enjoy the flexibility of the curriculum, which allows me to explore various subjects outside my major.
UCLA's location in Los Angeles is another significant advantage. The city offers numerous opportunities for internships, cultural experiences, and networking. The proximity to many industries has provided invaluable real-world experiences that complement my studies.
